Short Bio:
Born in Alberta, Canada and raised in Eugene, Oregon, I’ve called the Pacific Northwest home since I was five. After attending the University of Oregon and graduating from Oregon State University, I moved to Seattle where I married and raised two wonderful children. I spent 26 years in the cellular industry before pivoting to serve in a Christian non-profit at Ðǿմ«Ã½, where I’ve been blessed to work for over a decade. I’m passionate about coffee, hiking with family and friends, game nights, reading, and most of all—serving Jesus and giving back to my community.
Favorite Aspect of NU:
The community is my favorite aspect about NU. The faculty, staff, and students genuinely love Jesus and that shines in how everyone treats each other and supports each other. The community is safe and is invested in each student attending and wants them to succeed academically and personally.
On my bookshelf:
I love a variety of books and tend to move between books at the same time. On my bookshelf is The Thursday Murder Club Mystery by Richard Osman, Hope Rising – The Science of Hope can change your life by Casey Gwinn and Chan Hallman, Simply Tuesday by Emily P. Freeman, Humilitas by John Dickson, and Mere Chrisitanity by C. S. Lewis.
Favorite Food:
Seafood and Italian
Favorite place in Seattle:
Being out on the water fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and enjoying the sunshine.
Favorite coffee/non-coffee order:
Hot pumpkin spiced latte with oat milk.
Favorite Holiday:
Christmas – I love the cold weather, snow, beautiful lights, music, looking for the perfect family gift, attending church services, celebrating with family, and celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Favorite Sport:
Love playing basketball and pickleball. I love watching pro football with my husband.
What you might not know about me:
I am an identical twin, and we live a mile from each other. In high school my 800-relay team took second in state, and I ran my fastest 400 on the University of Oregon track.
