Brock Huard to be Guest Speaker at Ðǿմ«Ã½ Hall of Fame Benefit
Kirkland, Wash. — Ðǿմ«Ã½ has announced that Brock Huard will be this year’s guest speaker for the 6th Annual Eagle Hall of Fame Benefit on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
Explore pro sports and faith as Huard shares stories from his former NFL days (quarterback, Seattle Seahawks ’99–’01; Indianapolis Colts ’02–’03) and his current work as sports commentator for ESPN and radio co-host of The Brock and Salk Show. Huard has also served on the charitable boards of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Pro Athletes Outreach.
President Joseph Castleberry stated, "Brock Huard is a perfect speaker for our Hall of Fame event. He understands sports from the inside as a truly world-class athlete, he's a first rate communicator who can articulate what he knows, and his understanding has been thoroughly enriched by the kind of personal spirituality that rises when great people engage with great competition. And he's got a great sense of humor, too!"
The Hall of Fame Benefit will be honoring this year’s inductee, Phil Olson, a cross country and track & field athlete at Ðǿմ«Ã½ from 1999 to 2003, in addition to student athletes of the year Jordan Asher and Jonathan Ferguson. The event supports scholarships for student athletes at the university and will be held at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue; tickets are available to the public. The evening begins with a silent auction at 5:00 p.m. and a private VIP reception for sponsors with Brock Huard, followed by dinner, the Hall of Fame induction, and a live auction at 6:30 p.m.
Event sponsorship opportunities are available and include VIP tickets for the pre-event reception.
