World-Class Faculty Members Join ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½
ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ (NU) has recently welcomed three new faculty members who bring years of experience and relevant fieldwork to their teaching positions. Dr. Earl Creps—a specialist in missional Christianity, communication, and leadership—will lead our newly formed Center for Leadership Studies. Les Parrott will join NU as a professor in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Parrot, along with his wife Leslie Parrott, are #1 New York Times best-selling authors who have spent much of their lives helping others build healthy marriages.
Dr. Creps has accepted a role at NU to develop and direct new Ph.D. and Ed.D. programs in organizational leadership through the newly formed Center for Leadership Studies. A specialist in missional Christianity, postmodernism, emerging culture, and leadership, Dr. Creps earned a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Northwestern University and a D.Min. from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. His books include Off-Road Disciplines: Spiritual Adventures of Missional Leaders and Reverse Mentoring: How Young Leaders Can Transform Us and Why We Should Let Them.
Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott have been featured in USA Today and The New York Times and have appeared on CNN, The View, The O’Reilly Factor, The Today Show, and Oprah. Les Parrott has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Leslie, his wife, is also a psychologist focusing on marriage and family therapy. Each year, the Parrotts speak in over 40 cities, and their books have sold more than 2 million copies in a dozen languages—including the Gold Medallion Book Award–winner, Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts.
According to NU Provost Dr. Jim Heugel, these new additions will help make sure that students continue to learn from leaders in their fields of study. “I couldn’t be happier that Dr. Creps and Dr. Parrott have joined us,” he said. “They each bring rich backgrounds that will equip our students for success and are phenomenal additions to an already gifted faculty.”
