Prerequisites for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Core Curriculum (59 Credits)
The courses listed below are the core prerequisites required for admission to the nursing program. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher across all prerequisite courses
- A minimum grade of 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale) in each core prerequisite course

- THEO 2063 God and Society

- ENGL 1013 Composition I
- ENGL 1023 Composition II
- COMM 1213 Speech
- PSYC 1013 General Psychology
- PSYC 2563 Lifespan Psychology
- SOCI xxx3 3 credits of sociology
- UNIV 1091 Life Together
- MATH 1313 Introduction to Statistics
- SCIE 1333/1 General Chemistry I with lab (or transfer equivalent: SCIE 1203/1 Survey of Chemistry I with lab)
- SCIE 1213/1 Survey of Organic and Biochemistry with lab
- SCIE 2203/1 Human Anatomy & Physiology I with lab
- SCIE 2213/1 Human Anatomy & Physiology II with lab
- SCIE 2613 Diet and Nutrition
- SCIE 3104 Microbiology
- 2 general elective credits
Transfer Students
Buntain School of Nursing applicants who transfer 44 or more credits to Ðǿմ«Ã½ take the following 3 Bible and Theology courses and 3 elective credits:
- BIBL 1053​ Christian Scriptures
- THEO 1093 Foundations of Christian Faith
- THEO 2293 Christian Vocation
- 3 elective credits
Applicants who transfer with an Associate of Arts degree take the following 2 Bible and Theology courses and 6 elective credits:
- BIBL 1053​ Christian Scriptures
- THEO 1093 Foundations of Christian Faith
- 6 elective credits
Transfer students who turn 20 years of age or older during their first calendar year at Ðǿմ«Ã½ may replace UNIV 1091 with one elective credit.
