Time Commitment | Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, between the hours of 12pm and 8pm. Approximately 8-16 hours per week, beginning in August. |
Position Summary
The Gameday Crew position assists the NU athletics program to ensure a smooth and efficient game day experience for the 2025-26 season. A number of services will be required for each home event including statistics, operations and photography. Below are the following responsibilities that are included with each sport (student-workers will receive training):
Men’s & Women’s Soccer: Set Up/Tear Down, Announcer, Scoreboard, Stats Caller and Computer, Ball Shaggers, Video and Photography.
Volleyball: Set Up/Tear Down, Announcer, Scoreboard, Scorebook, Libero Tracker, Stat Caller and Computer, Ball Rollers, Video and Photography, Game Concessions, Gate Ticket Sales.
Men’s & Women’s Basketball: Set up/Tear Down, Announcer, Scoreboard, Scorebook, Shot Clock, Stat Caller and Computer, Video and Photography, Game Concessions, Gate Ticket Sales
Education/Experience/Skills
Stats/Score Table:
- Must have expert knowledge of the game and the rules.
- Be able to recite and log what happens on the field of play in a timely manner.
- Be reliable, prompt, and able to provide a high level of customer service and professionalism at games.
- Must be flexible when called upon and be ready for any last-minute changes.
- Able to dress in appropriate NU attire.
- Student workers must stay off cell phone during games.
Operations:
- Be able to perform a variety of duties that support a smooth and efficient game day experience.
- Be reliable, prompt, and able to provide a high level of customer service and professionalism at games.
- Must be flexible when called upon and be ready for any last-minute changes.
- Able to dress in appropriate NU attire.
- Student workers must stay off cell phone during games.
Photography:
- Have experience in taking sports pictures and video with a professional camera (i.e. no cell phones)
- Be reliable, prompt, and able to provide a high level of customer service and professionalism at games.
- Must be flexible when called upon and be ready for any last-minute changes.
- Able to dress in appropriate NU attire.
- Student workers must stay off cell phone during games.
Physical Demands
- Student-workers may need to lift objects over 80lbs with assistance
- Work is sometimes performed under harsh conditions including but not limited to: heat, cold, rain, snow and wind.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
