
Dr. Elisa Peterson

Dr. Peterson specializes in psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children, teens, and adults. She has worked with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health difficulties and/or differences, including ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, and various forms of trauma. Her therapeutic background stems from training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with mindfulness-based, trauma-informed approaches.
Education and Experience
Dr. Peterson earned a PsyD in Counseling Psychology from Ðǿմ«Ã½ in 2016 and a BS from University of Washington in Psychology in 2007. Her internship experiences involved a high school-based counseling center, a community mental health clinic, and a psychiatric hospital, working with people of all ages, conducting therapy and evaluations.
She taught and designed curriculum for a variety of psychology classes for over 10 years at Ðǿմ«Ã½, from undergraduate to doctorate level classes. Now, she serves as a supervisor at NUhope to student therapists working with children and adolescents and training students in conducting evaluations. She is also in private practice in Bothell, where she solely conducts evaluations.
Special interests
Spending time with friends and family – including her husband and two daughters, Zumba, yoga, traveling, and football.
