
Kate Myers
NUhope Student Therapist
Kate is a warm and compassionate counselor who appreciates the vulnerability it takes to seek therapy and tell one’s story. Her hope as a therapist is to hold a safe space for her clients to work through hardships in life, achieve goals, and assign meaning in their lives. She believes that counseling is restorative work and therefore seeks to highlight her client’s strengths and capacity for growth and thriving. Kate strives to understand her clients from a holistic perspective, accounting for biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors. Ultimately, she desires to form a collaborative, trusting relationship with the client to aid them in meeting their goals and experiencing human flourishing.
Education
Kate graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2023 and has continued her education in mental health by pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ðǿմ«Ã½ and will graduate in June 2025. Kate receives regular supervision from licensed clinicians at NUhope.
Special Interests
Kate values spending quality time with her family and friends. Her favorite forms of rest and escape are gardening, baking with sourdough, taking long walks, and strength training. Kate rarely passes up an opportunity to adventure outdoors and enjoys activities like hiking and camping with her husband and dog.
