Maddie Lauder
NUhope Student Therapist
Maddie is a firm believer that life is a journey of discovery, growth, healing, and joy and finds her passion in helping others along the way. She advocates for a safe space for individuals, couples, and families to tell their stories, and she builds a collaborative relationship with her clients. She hopes to meet clients where they are, with the ultimate goal of allowing all to feel seen and heard.
Maddie has multiple years in the field of mental health. Through her volunteer and professional opportunities, Maddie has worked with families and children navigating grief, individuals in eating disorder recovery in a residential setting, and adolescents impacted by substance use within a school community. All of these experiences have allowed her to build empathy and learn more about herself as a clinician.
Education
Maddie is a graduate of Oklahoma City University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Maddie took a pause in her education to gain professional experience prior to returning to school. She is currently a student at Ðǿմ«Ã½ pursuing her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology. Maddie regularly consults with licensed psychologist supervisors and peers for guidance and feedback.
Special Interests
Maddie loves to be outdoors, especially if it involves her pup, Oatis, and a rambunctious dog park. Maddie is a mover and loves to dance, hike, bike with family, or paddle board on the lake. On those rainy Seattle days, she enjoys reading a good book, playing board games with friends, or finding new ways to conjure up messes in the kitchen.
