
Tessa Trosvig
NUhope Student Therapist
Tessa is passionate about seeking to understand others and allowing them to feel seen and heard in the therapeutic space. This passion informed her journey through higher education in psychology. She has previously worked in a psychiatric hospital as an intern, administering biopsychosocial evaluations.
Tessa strives to create a warm and empathetic space for clients, taking a holistic approach to understanding her client’s world. She values building a strong and authentic therapeutic relationship with her clients, collaborating with them to accomplish their therapeutic goals while integrating many different counseling modalities. As a student therapist, Tessa is under direct supervision at NUhope and enjoys learning from and collaborating with mentors.
Education
Tessa has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. Currently, and she is in her third year attending Ðǿմ«Ã½ as she pursues a doctorate in Psychology, with a graduation anticipated in June of 2027. She receives regular supervision from licensed psychologists while at NUhope.
Special Interests
Outside of the clinic, Tessa enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, going on long walks, biking, and watching movies.
