Staying the Course: The Authority of the Word
In our continuing series of videos about our upcoming comprehensive campaign and the future of Ðǿմ«Ã½, I have enjoyed declaring the realities and truths that ground us in our commitment to the Kingdom of God. The centrality of the living Christ in our midst and the power of the Holy Spirit ensure the spiritual reality of our Christian life and community, but the Holy Scriptures ground us in the truth of revelation that protects us from the shifting sands of “feeling.”
In the video below, I explain our commitment to “the faith once and for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3) in the Bible. I hope you’ll agree with our commitment to the authority of the Scriptures, but in any case, here we stand. As Martin Luther said, “We can do no other.”
