Staying the Course: The Power of the Holy Spirit
Last week I published the first of a series of 8 videos related to the theme, “True North: Staying the Course, Charting the Future.” The first video explained what we mean at Northwest when we talk about being a “Christ-centered University.” Today’s video focuses on “The Power of the Holy Spirit.” Born in the early days of the Pentecostal Movement that swept the world in the 20th Century, Northwest firmly believes that “having begun in the Spirit,” we will by no means now “be made perfect by the flesh” (Galatians 3:3). It would be foolish to think that in our own wisdom or power we can thrive as a robust Christian university in 21st Century Seattle. We’ve never needed the power of the Spirit more than we do now.
I hope you’ll enjoy my comments in the video, but most importantly, I want you to know where we stand as we stay the course set by our founders and chart the future ahead.
